Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship - Visit by Yang Berhormat Nik Nazmi bin Nik Ahmad, Member of Parliament for Setiawangsa, Malaysia, 13 to 20 July 2025
YB Nik Nazmi bin Nik Ahmad, Member of Parliament for Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will visit Singapore under the Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship (LKYEF) from 13 to 20 July 2025. He is the 81st Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellow and the eighth Fellow from Malaysia.
During his visit, YB Nik Nazmi will meet Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu, Minister for Manpower and Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology Dr Tan See Leng, Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow, and Chairman of the LKYEF Lee Tzu Yang.
Additionally, YB Nik Nazmi will receive briefings and make site visits relating to waste management, resource circularity, water resource management, housing, and education. He will also be briefed on the work of MENDAKI (Council for the Development of the Singapore Malay/Muslim Community) and Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS).
Established in 1991, the LKYEF invites outstanding individuals to visit Singapore. The Fellows are chosen based on their track record and potential to contribute to the development of their nations and strengthening bilateral relations with Singapore.
